Ben is one of Canada’s leading experts in post-secondary communications in Canada. Currently the Senior Strategist behind the University of Ottawa’s social media accounts - Ben’s passion is transforming and innovating how post-secondary institutions communicate, strategize, and innovate.

Currently based in Ottawa, Ontario, Ben has transformed communications for many of the NCR’s largest education providers, including the University of Ottawa, Algonquin College, and the Ottawa-Carleton District Schoolboard.

An avid believer in improving the world around you, Ben has also worked in federal politics, providing Ministers with carefully crafted communications strategies.

In addition to his work at several HR startups, grassroots non-profit organizations, and music festivals - Ben has mentored multiple of Canada’s up-and-coming marketers by speaking at webinars, conferences, classes, and mentoring students at both the University of Ottawa and Algonquin College.

From arriving in Canada over 20 years ago as a Bosniak refugee, Ben has learned that communication is your make or break for success in this world.

Ben’s goal is to continue building and connecting with change-makers worldwide. Outside of his work and writing, you can find Ben playing volleyball, reading, or exploring the world with his partner Alyssa.
